Vertical Slice  

  This vertical slice begins near Morse Island and ends at the outer bay.

Temperature 

  The cooler surface temperatures near shore mix with depth as the tides flow in and out.  

Salinity 

  As the tide moves offshore, the fresher surface water near Morse Island mixes with surrounding waters .

Verical Slice  

  The vertical slice begins just east of Back Cove, moves along Portland Channel and ends offshore of Cape Elizabeth.
